Continuous surveillance on VHF
Vessels exceeding 300 GRT or length overall exceeding 45 metres and towing ships and tow together exceeding lenght overall of 45 metres, shall keep continuous watch over VHF. In addition to VHF channel 16, watch shall be kept over the working channels.
Masters on small vessels equipped with VHF-radio, are recommended to always keep watch over above-mentioned channels.
