We have a special press hotline, 031-69 90 70, which the press should always use when there are any questions about our activities.
Questions are usually answered by regular staff in the command centre. We make every effort to respond to every incoming call, but our ability to answer questions may be limited in some certain situations, especially in the active initial phase of the mission. This is usually a time of intense communication that requires the MRCC’s full capacity.
When major missions are in progress, extra personnel are called in to handle calls in the press room. The press hotline number can also be redirected to other premises if the volume gets too large. For that reason, it is vital that representatives of the media always use the press hotline.
