The Ship Management function within the Swedish Maritime Administration manages icebreaking and hydrographic operations and work ships owned by the agency as well as chartered vessels.
The Ship Management has overall responsibility for the safety of the ships, equipment and common standard. This responsibility includes coordination of investment issues for the vessels. The department is responsible for the coordination of available ship time so that the filling of time for incoming orders can be done with external assignments.
