One of the Swedish Maritime Administration’s tasks is to provide the Government with annual reports on the development in the maritime sector. Unlike the Swedish Maritime Administration’s annual report, which is essentially limited to the Administration’s own operations, the maritime sector report aims at monitoring and analysing the development of the entire maritime sector in relation to transport policy objectives.
The sector report is also meant to shed light on and analyse how current and proposed Swedish and international transport policy decisions, regulations and economic conditions are affecting the capacity of the maritime sector to make the optimal contribution towards attaining transport and business policy objectives.
