Towage Procedures

General Information

As a guidance when ordering tugboats, you will under each harbour section (links in right column) find specifications for how many tugs our procedures require under "normal circumstances".

These standards are calculated for normal current and wind situations. When exceeding these normal situations or in other circumstances that could appear, it might be necessary to increase the number of tugboats. This is a decision to be made by the pilot after consultation together with the captain.

A direct consequense of paying attention to these procedures in an early stage, is a decreased risk of delays and extra costs for "late ordered tugs".
