Standards and Limits for Stockholm Pilot Area
With the purpose of maintaining a high level of safety with reasonable margins, sizes and other conditions for pilotage in the fairways of the traffic area are regulated by standards issued by the area manager.
In this section you will find standards for pilotage in the fairways, but also standards for tugs, darkness, wind and visibility, put together by the experiences of the pilots.
The Standards and Procedures mostly indicate some kind of restrictions. The Fairway Standards are mainly indicating the maximum sizes of vessels allowed to be piloted in the fairways.
