Swedish Seamen’s Service offers all Swedish-flagged vessels, and Swedes onboard foreign vessels, film rental. Every month we send out a package of 6 carefully selected quality films of different genres. The titles are new, sometimes they are currently showing on theaters and sometimes we send them at the time for DVD-release. |
Just like in the theaters, most of the titles (5 of 6) are American but we aim to always include one good non-American film every month. The films come on DVD and you can choose between our standard package, where all films are subtitled or spoken in Swedish and our English package including only English text or speech. |
The films are sent by mail, along with program information, at the beginning of each month. The rental period is 12 months from receipt. The films do not need to be returned; instead each subscriber is responsible for destroying them when the rental period is over. This is a copyright requirement.
