Maritime safety improvements in the fairway to Landskrona

The Landskrona Fairway project aims to improve maritime safety in the fairway to Landskrona. Through several targeted measures, the project will improve the conditions for safe and secure shipping in the area.
The project includes new aids to navigation that will make the fairway safer to navigate. Among other measures, the existing fairway markers will be replaced with light buoys, and a new leading line will be established to guide vessels to and from the port. A leading line consists of two fixed navigation marks or lights positioned in line with each other.
Planned measures:
- 13 new light buoys
- A new leading line with two leading lights – one new light in the water and one on land
Work in the water will begin during week 22. For a period, a work platform will be visible in the area. The work will mainly take place below the water surface, so the results will not be visible above the water until the work has been completed.
During week 26, a new light will be installed and will then remain permanently in place. The light is planned to be activated during week 33.
In mid-June, new light buoys will also be deployed in the area to replace the existing fairway markers as part of the project.
The purpose of the project is to create a safer and easier-to-navigate fairway for shipping to the Port of Landskrona and the shipyard.
