Offshore wind power

Offshore wind power is currently being planned extensively around Sweden. To ensure that offshore wind does not become an obstacle to shipping, it must be designed with due consideration for the conditions and requirements of maritime traffic.

Knowledge base on offshore wind power and shipping

At the Swedish Maritime Administration, we aim to provide wind power developers, public authorities and other stakeholders with in-depth information about the conditions and requirements of shipping.

The knowledge base provides an overview of the relevant laws and regulations, as well as a brief description of the authorities and organisations involved in shaping and regulating shipping.
