Standards and procedures in pilot area Gävle.
Those standards and procedures are guidelines for vessels navigating under normal conditions at mean sea level using a pilot.
Several circumstances may cause extra safety margins, such as reduced visibility, strong winds, currents, technical standard of vessel, fairway status for navigating in dark, tug assistance, etc.
In good conditions, vessels with extreme good maneuverability and high technical standard may gain exemption from given standards.
