Tugboat restrictions

Port of Norrköping

General restrictions

Below restrictions account for normal current and up to a maximum wind of 8 m/s. If wind and/or current is above these limits, additional tugboats may be required. If there are any doubts, call Pilot Ordering Centre for clarification.
The pilot always has the final say and will discuss with the Master, whether a transit or maneuver can be done safely.

A tugboat with a barge of “pusher” type, is considered a normal vessel and the entire length of both tug and barge is included.
A tugboat with a tow, must always use an additional tugboat for maneuvering, regardless of size.

Vessels frequently calling port of Norrköping, have the possibility to apply for an exmeption to below restrictions, at the CLO office. Prior to an exmption, the vessel must complete a full in and out call to the port.

If a single tugboat is required, it must be of ASD type.

When pilots is ordered, quantities and type of tugboat shall be entered.
